Park Mark is an award given by the police in the parking industry who fulfil the criteria of the Safer Parking Scheme Standards. These standards includes steps taken to for security of the compound or premises such as CCTV and manned security, safety of the vehicles parked, public and employers liability, sufficient lighting in the premises, modus of operation, etc.
The safety aspects of the car park and to ensure the car park operator has put sufficient measures in place to reduce the car park criminal activity, the police officers carrying out risk assessments before awarding the Park Mark award.
Basically, Park Mark standards are designed to reduce the crime and fear of crime in the car parks. This helps the customer to trust the car parks while looking for arrangement for parking while they are away either for short term or long term.
